Rowena Burnor

Rowena Burnor was born in Johnson, Vermont in 1922. She remembered vividly the flood of 1927 and other events in the Johnson area. Rowena devoted much of her life taking care of her mother and her sister, both of whom died of cancer. When she left home she didn't think she'd ever get married but "met up" with two good husbands. She met her late husband, Arthur, at the Sweetheart Dance. Rowena was a regular participant at the GRACE workshop at Brooklyn Street Center in Morrisville from 1993 to 2001. Rowena's work has been exhibited throughout the region as well as nationally. Rowena passed away in 2007.
